Somali Festival Meeting

The 17th Annual Somali Week Festival (SWF) will be held in London from October 16–26, 2025, under the “Resonate!” theme. “The sounds of the past will be the voices of the future”. On 17th October 2025, the British Library will host a launch event for the festival, which will have a diverse program of music, theatre, films, and discussions with artists and thinkers from the Somali diaspora. 

Highlights: A conversation exploring how Somali music, poetry, and storytelling continue to shape the future, featuring filmmaker Warda Mohamed and musician Abdirahman Nasri.
