St Mungo’s runs 18 services across Bristol including mental health support and rehousing schemes in partnership with Bristol City Council.
The charity works across the south of England and help over 100 people sleeping rough every single night.
.
Last winter alone, Bristol’s team helped over 500 people experiencing homelessness.
Outreach workers are in direct communication with the homeless community and are the first port of call for those who are living on the streets.
Emily Williams, a local service manager at St Mungo’s, said: “Volunteering for Bristol Street Outreach enables our workers to provide people experiencing rough sleeping with support to move off the streets as soon as possible.
“We strive to meet people where they are at and do everything we can to end their homelessness and provide the first foundations towards their recovery.
“Volunteering for this busy and passionate team is a great opportunity if you want to explore a career in homelessness, or simply want to help some of the most marginalised people in our society.”
